At a Glance …

NEW CHRISTIANS: We welcome Darcie, Marley, Dehlia & Brody baptised into our faith community. As they join our community through the waters of Baptism may they also continue to grow strong in body, mind and spirit in the years ahead.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD: (11.30am Sunday) will return for the remainder of June. We will then take a break for the summer and will see you in September.

FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI: This year the feast falls on Sunday 23rd June. We will be celebrating how we are all part of Christ’s Body. All children who have recently made their First Holy Communion along with their families are invited to take part in the Corpus Christi Procession.We planned to have a BBQ but due to the weather forecast not being good, the BBQ is deferred until the autumn. We will however, have a cuppa in Kilian House Family Centre after the 11.30am Mass. ALL WELCOME

ST. BRIGIDS CHILDREN’S CHOIR PERFORMANCE: The National Children’s The children from St. Brigid’s 5th and 6th class will perform the songs one more time here in Holy Rosary on the evening of Wednesday June 26th at 7.30pm. This is a not to be missed experience. All are welcome!

FUNERAL MINISTRY CARE TEAM: We wish to increase the numbers of those involved and therefore are now inviting you if you are interested in being part of this ministry to submit your contact details to the parish office by Friday the 31st of May. We will have a briefing in early June for all those interested in discovering more about this ministry.

MASS & BLESSING OF GRAVES: Mass & Blessing of Graves will take place in Redford Cemetery on Friday 28th June at 8pm. Blessing of Graves in Priestnewtown Cemetery at 12 noon on Sunday 28th July. There will be no Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Kilquade on that Sunday.

MORNING PRAYER OF THE CHURCH: continues in Holy Rosary Church, Greystones at 9.20 am. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week. It will use the electronic text. Universalis, available as an App for tablet, smart phone and iPad.

ON GOING ROOF WORKS IN HOLY ROSARY CHURCH We have completed phase one of the works on the Holy Rosary Church. Additional work will take place in September and so Holy Rosary church will be closed from Monday 2nd September through to Saturday 21st September. During this period all Masses etc will be celebrated in St. Kilian’s Church, Blacklion. There will be further updates over the summer. Thank you for your cooperation and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

HOSPITAL VISITATION: If you know of anyone who is sick in hospital or at home and would like a visit, please don’t hesitate to call one of the priests of the parish or the parish office.

CHARITY TAX REBATE: A big thank you for all who support the parish through the Planned Giving Collection. This is the only collection that stays in the parish. You can further support the parish by completing a CHY3 form. This permits the parish to claim the tax back on your donations to the parish. It is a simple process that can yield extra funds to support parish initiatives. Contact the parish office for further details. Thank You.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC?: Are you or someone you know interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith and the Catholic Church. If so please contact Fr. John after Mass or make enquiries to the Parish Office. We will begin our preparation for Adults wishing to be baptised or indeed make their 1st Communion or be Confirmed in the Catholic Faith at the Easter Vigil next Easter soon during the month of September.
