REGISTRATION FOR PREPARATION FOR FIRST COMMUNION OR CONFIRMATION IN 2020: Registration for the preparation programme is now open on our website and closes on the 30th of September 2019. If you have a child entering either 2nd or 6th class in school this September then please register for the preparation programme during this coming week.

SAFEGUARDING SUNDAY: Diocesan Safeguarding Sunday will take place the weekend of the 21st/22nd September 2019.

LOURDES COLLECTION: I wish to thank all the people of Greystones for their generous contribution of €2.127.13 towards our Lourdes Pilgrimage. A mass will be offered for all our contributors at the Grotto during our stay. Once again thank you for your kind generosity, Fr. Martin Noone (Pilgrimage Director).

ECUMENICAL ALPHA COURSE BEGINNING WEDNESDAY 25TH SEPTMEBER: We are delighted to announce that we will be running an ALPHA course with St. Patrick’s church (C of I). This course is open to all who are searching for meaning or wondering what life is really about.  Wed. at 7.30. All Welcome.

HOLY ROSARY SOUP & SANDWICHES: We’re back in action!! Make a date for lunch on Wed. September 25th at Kilian House Family Centre from 12.15 to 2pm

ON GOING ROOF WORKS IN HOLY ROSARY CHURCH We have completed phase one of the works on the Holy Rosary Church. Additional work will take place in September and so Holy Rosary church will be closed from Monday 2nd September through to Saturday 21st September. During this period all Masses etc will be celebrated in St. Kilian’s Church, Blacklion.  Weekday Mass will be celebrated at 10am as per usual. However Sunday Masses from Sunday 8th September will change for the month. See details here. Thank you for your cooperation and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The new temporary timetable is listed below Saturday Vigil 6pm St. Kilian’s, Blacklion Sunday 8am: St. Kilian’s, Blacklion Sunday 10am: St. Kilian’s, Blacklion Sunday 12am: St. Kilian’s, Blacklion Sunday 6.30pm: St. Kilian’s, Blacklion

KILIAN HOUSE FAMILY CENTRE: This will be operate as normal during the church renovations. Access will be through the church car park.

HOSPITAL VISITATION: If you know of anyone who is sick in hospital or at home and would like a visit, please don’t hesitate to call one of the priests of the parish or the parish office.

CHARITY TAX REBATE: A big thank you for all who support the parish through the Planned Giving Collection. This is the only collection that stays in the parish. You can further support the parish by completing a CHY3 form. This permits the parish to claim the tax back on your donations to the parish. It is a simple process that can yield extra funds to support parish initiatives. Contact the parish office for further details. Thank You.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC?: Are you or someone you know interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith and the Catholic Church. If so please contact Fr. John after Mass or make enquiries to the Parish Office. We will begin our preparation for Adults wishing to be baptised or indeed make their 1st Communion or be Confirmed in the Catholic Faith at the Easter Vigil next Easter soon during the month of September.
