Social, Hobby and Craft Afternoon

Free Craft, Hobby and Social afternoon First Sunday of each month from 3pm to 5.30pm.

This will run every first Sunday of the month. Over 18’s only.

Great activities from flower arrangement, knitting, embroidery to art classes take place on the day.

Bring a friend or find a friend and enjoy learning a new skill.

Tea, coffee and biscuits available for nominal charge with all donations going to local charity.

Job Vacancy – Parish Area of Kilquade and Greystones

The Parish is recruiting a Parish Office Administrator.

Duties will include:

  • Providing an administrative service to the Parish Area of Kilquade and Greystones.
  • Managing the Parish Office with the effective use of up to date office systems.
  • Receiving members of the public and dealing with enquiries.
  • Administration for Mass preparations; Baptisms; Confirmations; Weddings; Funerals
  • All areas of Finance together with weekly collections and lodgements.
  • Accounting and Payroll.  Maintaining and updating accounts using Accounts IQ and Pastoral Management.   Prepare payroll for all Parish staff.  Engaging with Revenue and all Diocesan reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5 Years administrative experience.
  • Robust book keeping experience essential.  A certificate in Accounting Technicians of Ireland desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of Accounts IQ desirable.
  • Database experience
  • Knowledge of HR management and practices.
  • Knowledge of Social Media.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

New Altar for St. Kilian’s Church

We are delighted to announce that the beautiful Marble Altar that was at the centre of all liturgical celebrations in Delgany monastery will be reconstructed in the last few weeks of August as the new altar for St. Kilian Church in Blacklion.

Masses in Greystones Parish for September

As you know the works on the roof of Holy Rosary Church will take place during the month of September with the church being closed for the duration of the works.

All our celebrations will move to St. Kilian’s Church in Blacklion.

As we are experiencing glorious weather, there are moments of beauty about the place which are worth sharing and being present to as they remind us of our Creator.
