Parish Pastoral Council

A key topic of the Second Vatican Council was “The Church in relation to the modern world”. The concept of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) emerged as a means to achieving this openness, enabling parishioners to become involved in the running of the parish.

Parishioners are now more involved in identifying the needs of the parish, formulating parish policy and overseeing the implementation of plans to meet these needs.

The PPC in Holy Rosary has been in place since 2004. Membership of the PPC is completely open. Parishioners are invited to self nominate and after a process of reflection decide if they are willing and able to take on the role of council member.

The current serving members of the PPC members include:

Fr. John Daly
Liam McCabe – Chair
Tom Shelly – Secretary
Adrienne Durran
Paul Thornton
Suzanne Carwood
Tina Bambrick
Louise Fenelon
Victor Megannety
Evelyn Cawley
The PPC meets on the second Thursday of the month.
The PPC in Holy Rosary and St. Kilian’s Parish and in St. Patrick’s Parish, Kilquade works closely together and collaborates on many pastoral area initiatives.

Contact with the PPC may be made through the Parish Office: +353 (0)1 2874025 or at [email protected]
