Our May Altars in the Pastoral Area 2020

During May, we invited people in the Pastoral Area of Greystones and Kilquade to create a May Altar in their home to honour Our Lady.

See some of these in our video.

Community Connected In Spirit

Since March 13th, people have been contributing to this selection of spiritual music, prayer, reflection and imagery.

There now exists a collection of over 80 pieces of spiritual inspiration connecting our faith community in a virtual way. Thank you to those who have taken the time to share something of special and spiritual significance with us all.

You are welcome to dip in and out and see if a piece resonates with you.

All contributions of a spiritual nature are welcome.

Helping and Protecting Each Other – Can You Give Some Time?

As the church buildings have opened again, we are delighted to have this facility available to us.

To ensure this can continue this in the coming weeks, some help is required.

Fr. Seán Canon Smith

Fr. Seán Canon Smith celebrates his Diamond Jubilee on 29th May.

We are delighted to have an interview with Fr. Seán about his ministry during those 60 years.

Congratulations to him on this great occasion, from everyone in the Pastoral Area.

Breaking Open the Word in Prayer – Reflection on Sunday’s Gospel

A time of quiet for personal reflection on the Weekend’s Gospel

Each weekend we offer you resources for reflecting on the Gospel either individually or as a group.

Here you will find resources provided by the Children’s Liturgy of the Word group for parents to use with their children.

In addition you will find resources aimed at ‘grown-ups’.

Supports within the Community

There are many supports available to people during this time as we all adjust to a new normality.

We have compiled a document with some of those supports that are available locally and nationally.

It is in a format that can be printed and stuck to the fridge!

Trócaire: Return your Donation

Every year Trócaire asks for your help during Lent to fund lifesaving programmes around the world.  This year, of course, it was not possible to return Trócaire boxes through schools or parishes in the usual way.

See here how you can return your donation. Thank you.
