Sacrament of Confirmation Meetings for Parents

We have our first meeting for parents of children preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation next May.

It is important for parents to attend this meeting as our programme of preparation will be explained and the role and partnership of Home, School and Parish explored.

Group will meet from 10.40 – 12.00 in the ‘Upper Room’ of Kilian Family Centre.

NEW CHRISTIANS: We welcome Megan, Jack & Fiadh, into our faith community. As they join our community through the waters of Baptism may they also continue to grow strong in body, mind and spirit in the years ahead.

ECUMENICAL ALPHA COURSE  We are delighted to announce that we will be running an ALPHA course with St. Patrick’s Church (C of I),church Road, Greystones. This course is open to all who are searching for meaning or wondering what life is really about.  Wed. at 7.30. Next gathering: Wednesday 13th November at 7.30. All Welcome.

REDFORD CEMETERY: Blessing of Graves in Redford Cemetery on Sunday 3rd November @ 3pm.

NOVEMBER ALTAR LIST OF THE DEAD: Envelopes for the Altar list of the dead are available from the back of the church, please return them to the sacristy or office before the 1st November.

COFFEE MORNING: Next Coffee morning takes place at Kilian House Family Centre on Friday 29th November 219 at 10:30am. Come and join our last coffee morning of 2019. The theme is: Christmas.

ENROLEMENT FOR JUNIOR INFANTS 2020: See school websites for details of individual schools in the area. Enrolments open Monday 4th November.

HOSPITAL VISITATION: If you know of anyone who is sick in hospital or at home and would like a visit, please don’t hesitate to call one of the priests of the parish or the parish office.

CHARITY TAX REBATE: A big thank you for all who support the parish through the Planned Giving Collection. This is the only collection that stays in the parish. You can further support the parish by completing a CHY3 form. This permits the parish to claim the tax back on your donations to the parish. It is a simple process that can yield extra funds to support parish initiatives. Contact the parish office for further details. Thank You.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC?: Are you or someone you know interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith and the Catholic Church. If so please contact Fr. John after Mass or make enquiries to the Parish Office. We will begin our preparation for Adults wishing to be baptised or indeed make their 1st Communion or be Confirmed in the Catholic Faith at the Easter Vigil next Easter soon during the month of September.

New Altar Servers Required

We are inviting all boys and girls who have made their Holy Communion to come and join our Altar Servers Team.

If there are any boys or girls aged 9 or over, who would like to become altar servers, please contact the parish office.

November Altar List of the Dead

During the month of November we remember and pray for all those who have died.

We invite your family members to come together to fill in the November Altar list for your deceased loved one

Preparing for First Communion and Confirmation in 2020

We are delighted that you have presented your child for the Sacrament of First Communion or Confirmation.
