What is our PPW up to now?

Paul, our Parish Pastoral Worker, has gone to America on a working holiday of sorts.  He was going over there to visit some friends for a couple of weeks and suggested that he would stay on for another four weeks to carry out some exploration while there.

SVP Clothing Appeal

The St. Vincent De Paul Society is seeking your help with their annual appeal for second hand clothing.

Bags will be distributed on the weekend of the 6th/7th July will collection of clothes taking place the weekend of the 13th/14th…

NEW CHRISTIANS: We welcome Donnacha, Bodhi, Chloe & Lara baptised into our faith community. As they join our community through the waters of Baptism may they also continue to grow strong in body, mind and spirit in the years ahead.

PARISH OFFICE SUMMER OPENING HOURS: The Parish Office will be closed on Fridays for the months of July and August.

MASS & BLESSING OF GRAVES: Blessing of Graves at Kilquade Old Cemetery will take place after 12 noon Mass, Sunday 14th July. Blessing of Graves in Priestnewtown Cemetery at 12 noon on Sunday 28th July. There will be no Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Kilquade on that Sunday

MORNING PRAYER OF THE CHURCH: continues in Holy Rosary Church, Greystones at 9.20 am. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week. It will use the electronic text. Universalis, available as an App for tablet, smart phone and iPad.

ON GOING ROOF WORKS IN HOLY ROSARY CHURCH We have completed phase one of the works on the Holy Rosary Church. Additional work will take place in September and so Holy Rosary church will be closed from Monday 2nd September through to Saturday 21st September. During this period all Masses etc will be celebrated in St. Kilian’s Church, Blacklion. There will be further updates over the summer. Thank you for your cooperation and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

HOSPITAL VISITATION: If you know of anyone who is sick in hospital or at home and would like a visit, please don’t hesitate to call one of the priests of the parish or the parish office.

CHARITY TAX REBATE: A big thank you for all who support the parish through the Planned Giving Collection. This is the only collection that stays in the parish. You can further support the parish by completing a CHY3 form. This permits the parish to claim the tax back on your donations to the parish. It is a simple process that can yield extra funds to support parish initiatives. Contact the parish office for further details. Thank You.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC?: Are you or someone you know interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith and the Catholic Church. If so please contact Fr. John after Mass or make enquiries to the Parish Office. We will begin our preparation for Adults wishing to be baptised or indeed make their 1st Communion or be Confirmed in the Catholic Faith at the Easter Vigil next Easter soon during the month of September.

Roof Works – Holy Rosary Closure

September 2, 2019 9:00 am to September 21, 2019 6:00 pm.

We have completed phase one of the works on the Holy Rosary Church.

To complete this work as quickly as possible the Holy Rosary church will be closed from Monday 2nd September through to Saturday 21st September.
