NEW CHRISTIANS: We welcome Louie, Kai & Raya, who will join our community through the waters of Baptism. May they continue to grow strong in body, mind and spirit in the years ahead.

CHRISTMAS MASS BOUQUET CARDS: will be available from the Parish Office from Mon. 19th Nov for €5.

TAÍZÉ PRAYER IN ADVENT: There will be Taízé Prayer service taking place in the Carmelite Monastery on each of the Friday’s of Advent at 8pm. The liturgy each week will be aimed at helping us to reflect on and prepare for the feast of the Nativity. All Welcome.

GREYSTONES CAROL SERVICE : Takes place this Sun. the 16th Dec.@4.00pm in Holy Rosary Church. This service enables us to take time out from all the running around and busy preparations so that we can nourish our souls for the coming celebration of the coming of the Lord. All welcome.

BLESSING OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE: We are inviting each home to bring the Star or Angel that you place on the top the Christmas Tree in your home to 11.30am Mass in Holy Rosary next weekend December 16th to have them blessed. Reminding us again of who we welcome into our homes this Christmas Day.

SACRISTANS VACANCY: The parish is looking for new sacristan’s for Holy Rosary Church for the new year. If you are interested in this position please send your CV with references to Fr. John, the Parish Priest, (c/o the Parish Office) before the 15th December.

PASTORAL AREA CHANGES: First Sunday of Advent this year, the 2nd December, masses in the Pastoral Area will change slightly. There will be an 11.30am Mass in Holy Rosary (amalgamating 11am and 12.15). Sunday evening 6:30pm moved to Holy Rosary Church Greystones from St. Anthony’s in Kilcoole. Full text here.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC?: Are you or someone you know interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith and the Catholic Church. If so please contact Fr. John after Mass or make enquiries to the Parish Office. We will begin our preparation for Adults wishing to be baptised or indeed make their 1st Communion or be Confirmed in the Catholic Faith at the Easter Vigil next Easter soon during the month of September.

Taízé Prayer in Advent

December 7, 2018; 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
December 14, 2018; 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
December 21, 2018; 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

There will be Taízé Prayer service taking place in the Carmelite Monastery on the final three Fridays of Advent at 8pm (i.e. 7th, 14th, 21st December).

The liturgy each week will be aimed at helping us to reflect on and prepare for the feast of the Nativity.

Sacristans Vacancy

The parish is looking for new sacristan’s for Holy Rosary Church for the new year.

The work involves the opening/ closing of the church, preparing the church for all liturgical celebrations in a given week (including availability for funerals, weddings etc), and organising and running the sacristy on a week to week basis.

Mass times in the parish of Holy Rosary and St. Kilians from the first weekend in Advent (Sun 2nd Dec) are as follows:

Saturday Vigil: 6pm – Holy Rosary Church
Sunday: 10.00am -  St. Kilian’s Church
Sunday 11.30am – Holy Rosary Church
Sunday 6.30pm – Holy Rosary Church

Mon – Fri: 10am – Holy Rosary Church

Wed: Liturgy of the Word 10am

Holy Days:
10am – Holy Rosary Church
8pm -  St. Kilian’s Church

Confession: Saturday 5:30 – 6pm – Holy Rosary Church.

Welcoming Ceremony

January 13, 2019; 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The welcoming ceremony is part of the celebration of baptism in the community.

It is intended to be a way of introducing the children to the Christian community to which they will belong and become a part of, as they grow in their faith.

The first stage of baptism will be celebrated at this Mass.
