Please encourage your younger family members to join in.

The Pope’s Prayer Intentions for 2017

Starting in 2017 the Pope will present only one prepared prayer intention per month, rather than the two presented before this year.

He plans, however, to add a second prayer intention each month related to current events or urgent needs, like disaster relief. The urgent prayer request will help mobilize prayer and action related to the urgent situation.

Read on to see those monthly prayer intentions.

Preparation Programme for Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation

A significant amount of the preparation work with children preparing for the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation is carried out through the school, however the home remains the primary place of nurture for Faith development.

We, the pastoral team of the parish, recognise the role we have in supporting families, especially at these times of preparation for the Sacraments. We put in place a preparation programme for parents as a means of achieving this.

The registration form and an explanation of the parish approach to preparing for the sacraments in 2018 will be available on this website from the beginning of August 2017.

Preparation for Baptism

We are introducing a new approach to preparation for the Sacrament of Baptism here in the pastoral area of the parishes of Greystones and Kilquade.

The purpose of the preparation programme is to support parents in reflecting on the significant step they are taking in bring their child to be baptised into the Christian Community.
